For more than two decades I have been collaborating with researchers at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health. Since 1989, when I first went over to the USA as a doctoral student, I have been working with a fantastic team of researchers led by Professor Trevor Orchard, on a longitudinal study of the natural history of diabetes complications in adults with Type 1 diabetes, known as The Pittsburgh Epidemiology of Diabetes Complications (EDC) Study, which has resulted in many publications.
